SHADY BOWL COMPACT SERIES - $300 TO WIN

1.  Race will start 30 Compacts
2.  30 green laps
3.  NO ENTRY FEE
4.  This is a non points race however, all Compact drivers will receive 45 show up points if they draw for a starting position or are placed in the line up for a qualifier, heat race or feature.

Format for 1-30 Compacts:  Draw for A Main starting position.

Format for 31-48 Compacts:  2 race qualifiers.  Top 15 in each qualifier will advance to the A Main.  Drivers will then draw for starting position in the A Main.

Format for 49-60 Compacts:  6 heat races with the top 4 positions of each heat advancing to the A Main.  Six cars will advance to the A Main from the last chance race.  Cars coming to the A Main from the heats will draw for starting position in the A Main (top 24 will draw).  The 6 cars coming out of the last chance race will start at the rear of the A Main according to their last chance race finishing order.

The top 16 in points after tonight’s feature will be locked
in to the A Main on Saturday, June 21, 2008

2007 Compact Race Line Up
(Format based on 27 or more Compacts)

The first race of the season:

Drivers will draw for starting position.  Example:  if there are 30 cars present, drivers will draw a pill numbered 1-30.  The number the driver draws will determine his starting position.  The track will then divide this line up in half.  In the event of an odd number of drivers, one additional car will be added to the first qualifier.  The first group of drivers will run race qualifier #1.  The second group will run race qualifier #2.  The top 8 finishers of each qualifying race will advance to the following week’s A Main.  These drivers will draw for starting position in the A Main the following week.  If a driver arrives late and misses the initial draw for starting position, he will be added to the rear of the second qualifier.

In the event a top 16 driver is not present or eligible for the next week’s A Main, the track will fill the race field by adding an additional driver from the B Main.  Instead of 8 advancing, 9 drivers would advance.

The top 16 in points will be locked into the A Main the following week.

Points will be awarded to A Main finishers only.  All B Main participants not making the A Main will be awarded 45 points.
 

Points are awarded to drivers only.  In the event of a driver change, the driver will go to the rear of the field.  If a driver is not locked into the A Main, he MUST make his way through the B Main.  No driver will be permitted to start the A Main without qualifying for that night’s event.

**  If there are 26 or less Compacts, drivers will draw for position and only one qualifier will be run.
