1. This class consists of all American and Foreign cars.
Pick ups may participate as long as rules are followed.
Pick ups must have stock bed with tailgate in closed
position.
2. BODY:
No front wheel drives.
Stock appearing steel body
preferred. Add 50 lbs
for Aluminum bodies. Front Firewall must be
maintained. If not on the vehicle or cut too much
add 50 lbs.
3. SEATS:
Must be wrap-around or bucket, securely fastened to
frame or roll cage on all four corners. All seats must
be aluminum; no fiberglass. Shoulder harnesses and seat
belts are mandatory and must meet S.F.I. specifications.
4. WINDSHIELD:
Full front safety glass or lexan windshield required. If
lexan or equivalent is used as a windshield, it must be
at least 1/8" thick. If other window openings are
covered they must be covered with lexan.
5. SUSPENSION:
Stock suspension must be
maintained with the exception of the following: wedge
bolts or jacking devices are allowed. One shock per
wheel. Shocks may be moved to allow for jacking
device. Adjustable sway bar allowed.
6. REAR ENDS:
Any stock passenger car rear end. No quick changes.
Rearends
may be
locked. Positraction rear ends allowed. 9" Ford rear end
will be allowed. Must be
mounted in stock position with stock frame mounts and
rear end mounts. No after market parts allowed,
other than 9" Ford rear end.
7. BUMPER:
Must have stock bumpers, front and rear.
8. FRAME:
Stock frame. Frame may be cut off 24" in back of rear
axle and exchanged with square tubing.
9. ROLL CAGE:
Must be (4) post design with three bar minimum between
front and rear bar next to the driver's door. No
galvanized or threaded pipe fittings. All bars must be
padded WHEREVER DRIVER CAN HIT CAGE. We recommend
drivers door be plated at roll cage bars. All roll cages
must be at least 1 3/4" steel tubing, .095 wall. All
roll cages will be inspected by track officials.
10. INTERIOR:
Rear seat and back seat must be removed. A rear fire
wall must be installed. Floor coverings must be removed.
11. WEIGHT:
Cars must weigh a minimum of
3200 lbs.
with 1250 lbs right side weight
ACCORDING TO OUR SCALES with driver after race with no fuel
added.
12. ENGINE:
Any displacement factory produced engine. Engine must
remain in stock factory position.
Aluminum heads (Add 50 lbs.) and aluminum intakes (Add 50 lbs.) are allowed.
Weight must be added to right
side.
13. CARBURETOR:
One two barrel or one four barrel carburetor. After
market carburetor will be allowed. Two Barrel carburetors may deduct
100 lbs of weight from right side.
14. IGNITION:
Only Stock Ignition will be permitted.
15. EXHAUST SYSTEM:
Muffling devices are mandatory. No 180 degree headers.
16. BATTERY/STARTER:
All cars must have working starter and battery. All
batteries must be securely mounted and completely
covered if in driver's compartment.
17. RADIATORS:
Any type may be used, providing it does not alter the
body sheet metal. Must have an overflow tank not less
than 2 quart capacity. Catch can must stay in engine
compartment and have tube running to lower right corner
of windshield so it will spray windshield if overflow
occurs.
18. FUEL CELLS:
Fuel cells are mandatory. Must have at least 1" x 1/8"
steel wide strap above, below and in both directions.
Fuel must be gasoline only.
19. FUEL LINES:
Fuel lines should be securely mounted and protected.
Fuel lines running through the driver's compartment must
be Aeroquip steel braided or equivalent. NO electric
fuel pumps.
20. FUEL:
ONLY STRAIGHT GASOLINE OR RACING FUEL IS PERMITTED. No
nitro additive or alcohol permitted.
21. DRIVE TRAINS:
Transmissions must be stock type, manual or automatic,
and must have both forward and reverse gears. Drive
shaft must have a least one 360 degree safety loop
mounted securely to the frame placed directly behind the
front universal joint and must be painted white.
22. BRAKES:
Brakes must be in good working order on all four wheels.
Front an rear hubs may be replaced with heavy duty
aftermarket hubs. Car may not compete with any missing
or broken studs/bolts or nuts.
23. WHEELS:
Steel rims 8"
wide. All vehicles must have large nuts. No vehicles
can run with any studs or nuts broken or gone.

25. SAFETY EQUIPMENT:
All drivers must be protected at all times with a Nomex
S.F.I. approved fire suit, seat belt (anchored to the
frame or roll cage), shoulder harness, head rest and a
helmet with a 1980 or later Snell sticker inside. All
cars must have a window net on the left side window
opening with a seat belt latch mechanism at the top
front corner. A fully charged fire extinguisher of B or
C type must be in every truck and be easily accessible
to both the drive and right side window opening. A QUICK
RELEASE MOUNTING IS MANDATORY.
26. MIRRORS/RADIOS:
Mirrors and/or two way radios are not permitted in the
car or in the driver's equipment. All divisions
must have a RACEceiver radio system.
27. PAINTING:
Painting must be presentable. Number must be 18" high by
3" wide painted on both doors and on top facing scoring
tower, and 4" high on the upper right corner of the
windshield and left rear tail light. Seniority will
prevail when assigning numbers.
28. INSPECTION:
Inspection of all cars will be subject to official
approval. Workmanship and appearance of cars will be a
determining factor in whether officials permit cars to
enter competition. Any car that wishes to compete may do
so (1) night only, as long as the car's minor
constructional differences do not (in the opinion of the
officials) vary drastically from the rules.
29. SPOILERS
60" wide by 6" tall mounted at 45% angle, must form rear deck lid,
spoiler cannot stick past rear deck lid or side of body. Ground to the top of the spoiler:
41".
The race director shall be empowered to add weight or
permit minor deviation from any of the specifications
herein or impose further restrictions that in his
opinion do not alter the minimum acceptable
requirements. NO expressed or implied warranty of
safety shall result from publication of or compliance
with these rules and regulations. They are intended as
a guide for the conduct of the sport and are in no way a
guarantee against injury or death to a participant,
spectator or official.
