Rain Takes Over At Shady Bowl
June 12, 2010

DeGraff OH: 6/12. Rain was the big winner at Shady Bowl Speedway Saturday as a late day downpour wiped out but the Pro-4 feature. It was "Kids Night" at the Bowl, with a coin toss and the Megasarus Stunt Show also on tap. The heat races went off without a hitch, as did the coin toss and stunt show.  Tha rain started to move in just as the Pro-4 feature was winding down. Steve Clarkson was leading on lap 17 when engine woes put him into the pits. While track crews were cleaning up, the rain became heavier forcing officials to call the event. The leader board showed David Gerstner would have been out front if the race had been able to resume giving him the win. Dave Sage was second after a charge from the rear of the field Rodney Schreck turned in a strong effort to finish third, with Wayne Watkins fourth and Tom Voyle fifth.

This Saturday (June 19th) will be a full night of racing, as the American Modified Series tries once again to get its first race in of the season. The traveling Super Cup Series late models will be on hand along with Sport Stocks and Compacts. It will also mark the annual KTH Night at the Races. Racing will start at 7.
